On a regular basis, the gang over at Art Asylum compile questions from their fans and present them to DSTChuck in a segment they call Ask DST.

We’re up to the 66th installment, with the focus of conversation on Star Trek.

Generally, the Star Trek-centered questions revolve around the action figure and prop lines, but one Minimate question did slip into the mix. James White asked, amongst other things:

BSG, Marvel and Ghostbusters minimates are flying off the shelves at my TRU. I would love to be able to get Star Trek Mates as well. Any chance? Please???

DSTChuck‘s response, vague as ever:

I’d say there is still a CHANCE we’ll do more Trek MM at some point but nothing is planned right now.

So, Trek isn’t put to bed just yet, though there is still nothing in the works at the moment. Granted, this pretty much mirrors the response we get every time someone asks about Star Trek, but at least its something right. Certainly a far cry better than “never say never” or “things aren’t looking so good” or “for the love of God, please stop asking about it!”
