(I should probably come up with a witty name for these type of stories, though the best I could do was “Nice Package,” so we’re going with “Packaging Shots” for now)
Art Asylum has packaging shots as well as a confirmed line-up for Marvel series 31 and 32.
Series 31 is set in Marvel’s past, with:
- Captain Marvel & Black Bolt
- Captain Britain & Shadowcat
- Silver Age Angel & Multiple Man
- variant Angel & Multiple Man
Series 32 is set in Marvel’s semi-present, with:
- Extremis Iron Man & Titanium Man
- Retro X-Force Cable & Modern X-Force X-23
- Yellowjacket & Kree Soldier
- variant Goliath & Kree Soldier
The most noticeable change between the original shots and the packaging shots is that X-23 will come with an alternate head without her mask on. Not sure why they opted to toss in an extra head instead of just apply a second face to the back of the first. Maybe they had some room in the budget?
Silver Age Angel seems to come with a hairpiece, so he can go without a mask just like the rest of his classmates from the X-Men box set.
There has also been a bit of work done on Captain Britain’s face to make it look less horrible.
Marvel series 31 & 32 are both slated for a January 6th release.

Now where are the rest of the X-Factor mates?
And by that I mean Strong Guy, Siryn, M, and a de-powered Rictor. A Layla Miller would be nice too, cause she know things.

i wonder if multiple man is gonna have an extra head, or a smiley face on the back of his head, for those of us who have more than one. i bought the case so i’m gonna have at least 2, and will probably try to pick up a 3rd on ebay.

LOL – I loved your Captain Britain comment! I wish the Marvel Minimate designers would keep the facial details at a minimum. while attempting to achieve the “comic book” appearance. (Major grievance: Stop drawing those hideous, long cheek lines on the female Marvel Minimates characters. Jessica Jones -> Great; Betty Ross -> Good; Iron Man 1 Pepper Potts -> Gawk)

Picked up my Extremis Ironman/Titanium Man today at toys r us. Sadly that was the only one they had. On the bright side, IM/TM set is awesome.

I received my case today and noticed a production error on 31. Angel’s box is labeled variant (and there are 3 in the case). Silver-Age Angel is not labeled variant and there is 1 in the case.
