Our first question comes from Greg, who asks:

Long time listener, first time caller. Is there a release date yet for the original X-Men and X-Factor sets?

Thanks for writing in, Greg. This is actually a good question, and one that more than one person wanted to know. Mark also writes:

I hope it’s not inappropriate to bother you with a question like this; I imagine you get slammed by this kind of stuff all the time. But I’m been looking through your articles, and am not finding what I’m looking for.

I’m wondering if you have any info on the release of the X-Factor set and the X-Men 1st Appearance set. I had read that they were coming out early this fall. AFX had said something about them being released in October (and I thought I’d read a similar update on your site), but there is still nothing there. I’m wondeirng if they came and went and I missed them, or if they were cancelled  …?

Do you have any info on them?

Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

See, it’s a hot topic. And one I had no information on. So, I dropped a line to Action Figure Xpress, asking them for an update. Here’s what they had to say on the matter:

According to the latest ship report we should have these in stock early December so we hope to have preorders up later this month.

So, keep your eyes peeled on the AFX site. On a side note, AFX does have some packaging shots up on their Facebook page.

Our next question comes from Michael, who writes:

My name is Michael <name withheld> and I ordered (from ToyRocket.com) the “Minimates: Ghostbusters 2009 SDCC Exclusive > Peter Venkmen & Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Action Figure 2-Pack”, ” Minimates: Ghostbusters > Series 2 Action Figure Box Set”, and  “Minimates: Ghostbusters > Dr. Ray Stantz & Slimer (Glow In The Dark) Action Figure 2-Pack” on July 8th of this year and have yet to see them come into the Mail.

Currently, Toyrocket.com is going through a “Chapter 11 Bankruptcy” and I am with-held from getting a refund!

I called Toyrocket.com and they state that the Manufacturer is still claiming that the products are still “pending” (or something like that..).

Would you happen to know the progress of these figures?

Again – I ordered this 5 months ago – so you can understand the bit of frustration that exsists within me.

That being said – I would appreciate any and all help/information in helping me see my beloved Ghostbusters MiniMates that I spent $37.41 on.

Please let me know if I should get in contact with someone else in regards of my Order.

Thanks for writing, Michael, and sorry to hear about your trouble. I can’t really comment on Toy Rocket’s financial situation, but I can tell you the status of those sets you ordered. Peter & Stay Puft were a San Diego Comic Con exclusive from July and they seemed to sell pretty well, so its possible that they just don’t have any more in stock. As for Ray & Slimer and the second box set, they are both slated for release on November 25th, so it isn’t too late to get a preorder in elsewhere.

Is anyone else experiencing problems with Toy Rocket?
