Luke, of Luke’s Toy Store fame, has hinted at a new product that will be arriving soon.
Well, hint might be the wrong word, since it seems pretty obvious. Here, take a look:
Seems Luke has been hard at work on some generic display scenes for everyone’s favorite 2-inch minifigures. There’s more on the way, but for now, we can look at the broken wall and dream of what is to come.

I’m liking where this is going. Of course what I really want is a massive city display with skyscrapers and car crashes and busted fire hydrants and sentinels and room for dozens of playmates, heh…
But this is a promising start.
I’m telling you. Modify a storage container to look like a SHIELD Helicarrier and still carry a hundred Minimates, and they’d sell like crazy.
And by “like crazy” I really mean about five or so.

Perhaps five or so are the only ones who would be able to afford it?
This is a nice generic display for a good price.
I look forward to see the rest of them.

Hahah, uhh… I meant Minimates above, but… hell, Playmates is a definite upgrade, so I stand by my word, heh.
And yes, only five because it would cost about $100 a piece to mass produce. Still tempting, though…

I’ve been wondering about storage for my minimates (to vulnerable to dust and falling off atop my book shelf) and these look great. I’m hoping I can buy a mixed batch in bulk as I’ll want it for at least half the mates in my collection.
So much for saving up money :p
