Diamond Select Toys recently revealed products based on the Terminator 2 movie, including an assortment of single-packed Terminator Minimates. Speculation has spread on just what else we might see from the license, with box sets being the odds on favorite.
Well, we here at Minimate Headquarters, thanks largely in part to our good friends at Diamond Select Toys, are proud to reveal the line-up for the first wave of Minimate figures based on the Terminator franchise (click for larger images):

That final battle T-1000 is wild. Wonder how you’d be able to play with it though: “I’m off to work!” SPLAT.

I love these!!!
And now I can make my Govenator custom. I will surround him with mounds of paper and unbalanced California budgets!
And the final battle T-1000 is wild. This will be an eye catching display for sure.

I am very happy to see the army builder packed with the variant.

I do have to say that I find it a little weird that we’ve not yet seen a regular T-1000. I love that guy. As it stands, these look really incredible. I will say that I don’t like having new characters as variants, but I also don’t care about Kyle Reese, so…

Matt has said recently that we’d be seeing “army builders” with variants now, though I took it to mean in the Marvel waves. Perhaps it is carrying over to all lines, as I think it makes more sense when you’re asking people to buy two of something to insure they get one extra unique figure.
As far as the T-1000 is concerned, maybe he’ll come with a spare torso to represent the normal look? Assuming of course that the arms and head can be removed from that explodey one. It seems that a spare torso and a reversible face wouldn’t be too damaging to overall production costs.
Of course, that’s all speculation on my part, because as far as the official release of these things, I know about as much as the rest of you at this point.

Regarding the T-1000, he isn’t a “regular cop” version, but there does appear to be a silver, motorcycle cop version coming out, as you can see here:

These simply look fun. I’m not a big fan of Terminator and all, have seen most of some of the movies, but these little dudes simply look schweet.

Congratulations on being chosen to have exclusive first-look pics! And what a debut – these look great, with Sarah being my fave. Really captured Linda Hamilton’s toughness on that one!

Assuming the Final Battle T-1000 head can be removed, I imagine people are going to have a lot of fun with the “O” face.
And I second Danny, Linda Hamilton is spot on.

Oh man, I can’t wait for these. That final battle T-1000 looks fantastic for a concept figure. The likeness on Sarah Connor is also spot-on; possibly the best likeness we’ve seen in any Minimate line.
As for the army builder chase set… finally. I don’t understand why they don’t make it a chase *pack*, with two chase figures instead of just one, but making them army builders is almost as good.
Also, am I the only one that thinks that Punisher is finally going to get a decent arsenal once this line comes out?

I think there is a regular torso under that ‘liquid goo’. So assuming the arms and head can be removed and the face is reversible: here is our regular T-1000.
After seeing these pics, this line went from ‘would be nice’ to ‘must have’.
