Loading ...Art Asylum has unveiled a second assortment in their Best of Marvel line. Last year, they sent retreads of Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Thing, Sabretooth, and Green Goblin to specialty store shelves. This year, they’ll be releasing Punisher, Deadpool, Daredevil, Venom, Mr Fantastic, Doctor Doom, Loki, and Hulk (with Bruce Banner hidden underneath).
And some of these look to be mostly new versions of the characters, so even if you’ve collected these characters before, there might be something unique to them to warrant a second purchase. Series 2 is expected to hit specialty stores in Spring 2013. Series 1 is reportedly available now for those who missed it before.
Looking forward to this, doomm and loki both look great, and banner hasn’t had his own mate for a while
I think Punisher is actually the stand-out in this wave for me. Black/Blue costume with white gloves & boots? That’s the Punisher i grew up with.
I’d normally roll my eyes at another Hulk minimate – but that Banner hiding underneath definitely makes him worth buying.
Here’s hoping the Best-Of wave 3 has some female characters in it.
